Our client is a small bootstrapped team building SaaS products across documents, resumes, contracts, and other everyday online tools.
The team is fully remote and distributed across the globe: USA, Spain, Germany, Serbia, Argentina, Georgia, Armenia, Thailand, and more.
One of the company's flagship products is an online PDF editor with thousands of users. The team is now looking for a long-term partner to own brand design for the product - from setting the visual direction to building a production pipeline for regular delivery of brand assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and evolve the visual brand direction for the PDF product
Create and art-direct illustrations, ad creatives, social media graphics, banners, and other brand assets
Concept onboarding animations within the product and motion reels showcasing product use cases
Write scripts for motion videos, brief motion designers, and evaluate the quality of their output
Source and coordinate illustrators, motion designers, graphic designers, and other specialists for specific tasks
Build a repeatable production pipeline so the team can consistently receive visual materials at the right level of quality
Work directly with the Head of Design and Head of Marketing: discuss tasks, propose solutions, and identify the most valuable visual formats for the product and marketing
Requirements:
Background in brand design, art direction, visual communication, illustration, motion, or related fields; experience with SaaS companies and startups is particularly relevant
Strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of taste, typography, composition, and attention to detail
Ability to own the visual direction - not just execute briefs, but propose solutions, set the quality bar, and drive results
Experience with art direction and production: briefing specialists, sourcing and coordinating talent, quality control, and regular output of visual materials
Ability to work across the motion pipeline: scripting, directing, briefing, and evaluating results
Active use of AI in your own work, with the same expectation from the specialists you bring in
Strong communication skills: ability to collaborate, justify creative decisions, and find the points of highest value for the product
